I’ve never experienced true peace like when I’m in the country surrounded by God’s creations. I went to Missouri this past fall to visit my friend and her 14 brothers and sisters. They live on 80 acres of land with a creek and animals. I’ve walked their land and just felt a peace. I feel the same when I go to Lancaster County. All that green in the summer, the quiet nights where there aren’t any fire trucks or police cruisers racing the streets, it’s crazy wonderful. I was born and raised in NYC. The closest thing we had to a farm was the petting zoo. So you’d think I’d prefer the city. Nope. I don’t appreciate the bugs in the country but that’s what bug spray is for. Lol.
I would love to own a little cottage on some land and commune with God. Not that you can’t commune in the city, but the awesomeness of nature is this: to realize that the God that made the mountains and streams, the clouds and stars and everything else, made me.
But whether or not you are in the country, you should take time out each day and read your Bible, pray and talk to God. I wish everyone the best.
I was putting on deodorant the other day when the head of the deodorant flung into the air and landed…in the toilet. 😩
And now I have a chest cold. My asthma has been acting up and my throat is itchy. And the beautiful weather we’ve been having is going to end soon. 😭
Why am I so negative? Actually I’m not. God is still on the throne and in control. Jesus still saved my soul.
Sometimes you have these not so positive times and you just have to deal. Maybe get some hot chocolate or go to bed early. But always remember that Jesus loves you.
My dad decided to get me this awesome present for an early Christmas present. What is it? Well, it is used by many daily, and no one would have clothes without it. It’s a sewing machine!
I’m so excited to learn to sew! It took me over a half hour to figure out how to use the automatic threader and how to use the bobbin.
I want to make veils and smocks and jumpers! I’m so happy. 😃😍🤗
If anyone sews, show off your fav project or pattern!
I’m on Facebook a lot. I mostly use it to communicate with likeminded Christians all over the country. I love to read how different people walk with the Lord. Some go to a near empty church to pray. Some walk through a meadow or sit on a park bench to talk to God. I like to stay up late reading the Word, and taking notes. However we pray we must make sure that we are sincere. And that we are right with God. If not, REPENT! God forgives us for our sins if we just go to Him. But we must remember that time is running short. Soon He won’t be the Forgiver but the Judge. So please perfect your walk with God, pray, and have faith.
I have learned from the Anabaptists about living simply. Their houses are not cluttered, they dressed neatly, and most importantly, have a simple faith. If your life is not so full of waste, you won’t share your waste with others. If you simply have a job, you can simply help someone in need, be it monetarily or just having time to spend with someone in need. The Anabaptist faith in Christ is awe inspiring. They know the truth of salvation and don’t have to turn it into a big complicated ordeal. First, you have to believe that Jesus is the Son of God. Then you must repent of your sins and cry out to Him. You must forsake your sins and promise to not do them again. Then you must be a follower of Christ and strive to be like Him and obey scripture. That’s all. If I’m missing something let me know.
Winter is halfway over. I’m relieved. Although tomorrow is the biggest snowstorm this season. There is this homeless woman I know. Please pray for her. Her name is Lynn. She sleeps in a doorway to shield herself from the cold.
“And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me. Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not.”
Matthew 25:40-43 KJV
