Have you thought about prayer? Not just any prayer though. Actual sweat producing talking to the father. I’ve seen people who quickly give a “thank you” to God before a meal, or a quick 5 minute devotion. Now I’m not saying that you gotta spend hours and hours praying (But it wouldn’t hurt). But you are talking to the creator of all the universe. He was there when there was nothing there, and WILL BE there after everything is gone. Show some respect will ya? Prayer is a solemn act.

It brings you closer to Him and He is pleased when you take the time out for prayer. And none of us is of so little import that we are not heard.

“And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:”

‭‭1 John‬ ‭5:14‬ ‭KJV‬‬

And praying is not that difficult. Some people pray by just talking to God like a friend. And that’s fine. Because he is also our friend. So don’t think you gotta say all these words and proclamations or repetitive sayings. The Bible clearly tells us we don’t.

“But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.”

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭6:7‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The most important thing about prayer is how you end it. Don’t forget to say “In Jesus’s name” or other variations of that. Because Christ said, ““And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.” John‬ ‭14:13-14‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Keep on praying, my friends. And if I come to thought, pray for me also. Everyone needs prayer. Including me. God bless, and hopefully I will post more often, Lord willing.

    1. Hey Regina! I’ll try to keep the blog updated. I just wasn’t really motivated. Then God told me I gotta talk about prayer. Anyway where is your fellowship? Talk soon!

  1. I’m in Chino Valley, AZ. I’m not at a Mennonite church due to husband and family not really wanted to embrace the plain lifestyle. I’m still living the plain lifestyle so I still stick out at my Baptist church but so far our pastor hasn’t confronted me about it. When he taught on the headcovering, I felt rather awkward since our church doesn’t believe in covering.

  2. I am longing to have a more meaningful and deep prayer life with God. I am not sure what it is going to look like when God reveals it to me, but I want to be there ready to pray unto Him when He speaks.
